For Kate

When I started looking for pictures of you on my computer, do you know how easy it was to find them?  You are always the life of the party, and I love that about you!  We've been buddies since kindergarten, and besties since junior high.  Some of these pictures may embarrass you, but it will be a drop in the bucket compared to all the attention you'll have on you this week. ;)

You took selfies before selfies were cool.

I think, just maybe, we bring out the silliness in each other.

Let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we?
Celebrating with a Coke float after we went a year without soft drinks!
"Working" on our big Julius Caesar project together.
Check out that dinosaur of a music-playing device, and the stacks of CDs!
9th grade SADD field trip
Eating waffles after senior prom!
Enjoying the snow day together
Going to lots of senior parties together
Getting ready for the Princess Ball
Dressing up for oh so many pep rallies
Our senior crawfish boil
Getting to school early to hang out around Vickie.
I tried to find a picture of our breakfast picnics, but couldn't find any!
Making Earth Day posters, which was mostly me watching you work your magic!
Highly anticipating graduation
You making my bouquet for my portraits
Taking bridal portraits
Celebrating together!

You have been there for every milestone in my life.  I'm so thankful for the memories we have together, and I know they will only grow!  You are energetic and passionate, yet I can always count on you to tell it like it is.  I'm only a few months ahead of you in the marriage department, but I can tell you, y'all have so much to look forward to!  It's incredible to have your best friend around for times of celebration and times of disappointment.  You two are already so deeply rooted in Christ, your marriage will not lack in love, compromise, and commitment.  I am so excited for this weekend, I can hardly stand it!!!!  I love you so very much!

Mother's Day

You are supportive.

You aren't afraid to be silly!

You are a loyal friend.

You love nature.

You work hard and achieve great accomplishments.

You are a loving wife.

You are beautiful- inside and out.

I am so blessed to call you my mother and friend.  I love taking walks, going on road trips, and sharing teaching stories with you.  When I am in a dilemma, you always give me great advice.  You encourage me, support me, and teach me when you don't even realize it.  Your determination, humility, and service to others are a constant encouragement to me.  I love you, Mama!  Thank you for all that you have done, and still do, for me.
